As a self confessed technology nerd, not to mention somebody who was writing games during the Tron gaming boost of the 1980's, to say I was excited about finally getting to watch this is a bit of an understatement! Add in the bonus of the promised high quality 3D and excitement levels in our house were at a new high for Tron Legacy 3D. Was it worth the excitement, read on to find out.

Piranha 3D – Rubbish
On the 6th day the lord proclaimed that everything 3D would be great! But he was wrong and as proof we have Piranha 3D, the worst 3D film I've seen to date. If ever there was a way of not doing 3D then this is it for me, it looks like post processing gone mad.

Best 3D Scenes In Avatar (Home Version)
Avatar if nothing else will be long remembered as the film that has brought 3D to the masses once again. Will this version of 3D be the one that sticks, who knows? What is for sure though is that in order to stand a chance the home 3D experience has to be on a par with what you can see in the cinema. The recent Sky 3D release of Avatar gives a great chance to compare and contrast and we think the home experience stands up well. So if you're looking for some stand out bits to show off to your friends you'll want to check these out:-

Kids 3D Movies In 2010
Alice In Wonderland 3D
Everybody knows the story of Alice in Wonderland right? Well this film takes the Lewis Carroll story to the next level. Directed by Tim Burton it sees Alice (now 19) following a white rabbit into a whole after being proposed to by a rather well to do gentleman. Of course she ends up back in Wonderland, even though she can't remember anything from her first visit. From this point the story is a roller coaster of excitement that is bound to keep the kids, and plenty of adults for that matter happy. Johnny Depp is one to look out for as the Mad Hatter, it's not like him to play a whacko far out character is it? Much.
Due Out In March 2010
Shrek Forever After 3D
For my money the first CG movie that really appealed to both adults and children alike. There are many times when I've come in drunk and thought about putting Shrek on, it is just a genuinely funny movie! There can be too much of a good thing though and the second and third films never really captured the magic of the first, I think we'd all like to see this 4th in the series (re-titled from Shrek Goes Fourth) bring back some of the firsts generation gapping humour.
Due Out In May 2010
Toy Story 3 3D
Woody, Buzz - everybody has seen the 2 Toy Story films? The third film in the series sees Andy of to College and the toys set for storage. Queue a mix up and the toys being thrown out. Expect the usual hi-jinks as the the gang try to make their way home, where home is you'll have to wait and see! As you can tell I'm not really looking forward to this, my gut is saying "seen it before". Never mind, I can think of at least 4 8 year old who are going to love the Toy Story in 3D experience.
Due Out In June 2010
Cats & Dogs 2 -The Revenge of Kitty Galore
I can remember being dragged to the cinema to watch the first Cats & Dogs film by a load of girls from work. It will always stick in my memory as one of the worst cinema experiences of my life. I will say though that the girls absolutely loved it, the best thing since sliced bread and completely hilarious. I guess you either have to be a kid or a grown woman who likes either cats or dogs to appreciate the Cats & Dogs franchise. Cats & Dogs are made to work together for the greater good blah blah blag
Due Out In July 2010
The Smurfs 3D
Now we're talking. No matter what the story of this film is going to be it is bound to be awesome, it has Smurfs in it, how can they go wrong?
Due Out In December 2010
These are just some of the kids 3D films that have been confirmed for 2010. As more producers jump on the bandwagon expect many more titles to be announced throughout the year. 2010 really will be the year for 3D TV!

Some Thoughts About Avatar
"I must admit it was slightly better on the IMAX, only because the screen was so big that you couldn’t see the edge whilst looking straight ahead so the 3D image filled your whole vision."
"I admit to moving my head when a smoke canister came flying at me… doh! I felt such a wally."
"I dunno whether the 3Dness was better with the polarised glasses as opposed to the green/red goggles"
"It was simply the best movie ever. not the story, but the way it's told/shown. Its a huge leap forward in cinema. I was grinning like a school boy, a film has never done that to me."
"The 3D and vibrant colours and good story with plenty going on. It was a deffo Star Wars moment (not that Avatar will have the same resonance or impact in later years. But it was that weird elation on leaving the movie
