Sky 3D Football Coverage

First Football Match In 3D

Sky are planning to do for British sport what James Cameron has done for the movie world. Arsenal versus Manchester United will become the first English football match to be broadcast in 3D (well to the lucky sods in the 9 pubs showing it).

Sky claims it will be the first transmission of a live 3D TV sports event to a public audience anywhere in the world. The test broadcast is to pave the way for a plan to roll out a 3D TV service to thousands of UK pubs from April. Not so great if you don’t enjoy a beer but the good news is that the Sky then have plans later in the year to roll out to their domestic customers.
